SALARY vs. HOURLY WAGE...Just how much ARE you making? 11/01/93
I wrote this program to satisfy my curiousity about how much I was making
per hour when I spent all night or all weekend at the office programming,
setting up new computers on the network, or trouble-shooting problems. As
a salaried employee, I found it interesting to see how much per hour I made
when I worked 60, 70, or even 80 hours in one week. Once I had the program
written, I thought maybe somebody else could find it useful.
The program is pretty straightforward. It prompts you for your monthly
salary, tells you how much you make an hour for a 40-hour week, and then
prompts you for how many hours you worked. It calculates how many hours
of that are overtime hours (if any), and then calculates the hourly wage.
It assumes that you would get paid "time-and-a-half" for overtime.
This program is FREEWARE. Use it if you want, distribute it if you want,
all I ask is that you distribute it with this file.
